Join Resonator in welcoming Tulsa-based photo artist Shane Brown.
In Wilderness of Mirrors, the artist has challenged himself to to present landscape photography in a way that hasn’t been done— or at least that he hasn’t seen done — before. The results are repetitive, geometrically driven, fractured images arranged symmetrically to suggest mandalas, flowers, or op-art. The viewer is initially attracted to the images as abstract pieces, but upon further exploration, the landscape at the heart of the image reveals itself and the image takes on a kaleidoscopic visual depth.
Beautiful, meditative, and trippy.
Exhibition opening is March 14, from 6:00 to 9:00 as part of the NAC’s March Second Friday Art Walk and will remain in the space through March 27. If you miss the opening, email us at resonator.ok@gmail.com and make an appointment to come by and see it.
