Join us for an evening of avant-garde classical music courtesy of local artists Freya and Mayfire.

Freya is a violinist who seeks to raise the profile of classical music and make it more accessible to contemporary audiences. She will perform a solo piece on viola followed by an improv set based on prompts given by the audience.

Brice Mayfire will then present his piece “Frétude”, composed for strings with theremin and voice accompaniment .

The night will conclude with a presentation of Freya’s piece “Romance” by Amy Beach.

This presentation is part of Freya’s “Project Pause”, the stated goals of which are to

• find an authentic voice

• make “classical” music more accessible

• perform because I want to because I can

• build community.

Doors will open at 6:00. $5 cover charge
