Resonator Institute, Creaturealm - OK, and For the Black Future have partnered up to coordinate a special DEI workshop series!
Local arts (and other) leaders interested in learning actionable methods for evolving organizational DEI infrastructure are welcome!
Participants will:
-Learn how to identify how systemic racism and other forms of oppression often show up in creative organizations in ways that may be difficult to identify from privileged perspectives.
-Create a customized framework for sustaining equitable practices for your organization utilizing FTBF “art and activism fusion” methods.
-Learn comprehensive terminology such as diversity, equity, inclusion, intersectionality, antiracism, and how to identify exclusionary practices.
Be sure to join us Friday, February 4th from 6:30-9:30PM for our Kick-off event featuring our upcoming “Black.Masq” exhibit by black OKC-based photographer Michael Carter who will be in the space visiting with folks to discuss his methods of liberation through art. Come to this FREE event to mingle, make new friends, and discuss DEI aspirations. This is a FREE event; masks required, social distancing strongly encouraged!
Our virtual workshop, facilitated by Norman based Public Arts DEI Consultant Ashley Morrison is Saturday, February 12th from 2-5PM. Virtual workshop will be followed by a public panel presentation on Saturday, February 26th from 2-4PM where participants will be invited to share what they learned and how they’ve grown!
